we call her “Cry-Baby” Rachel Ziegler. She sings love songs and plays guitar through a ‘crybaby’ pedal.
Another blonde bad-ass involved in the GypsyFeed “Conte de Fees” party on July 20th @ The Richter Co. This girl has great taste and is ALWAYS on point. We love her and think you will too! Tickets are ON SALE under “Gypsy-Feedings” on this site.

About me I guess I would say I’m an artist. I love music, it feeds my heart while food feeds my soul. I am a total foodie and LOVE to cook. I “heart” duck fat. A gypsy originally from Georgia. Retired massage therapist pursuing my love in music. Continuing my education at SAC and UTSA.
A little note from one of the newest members of the Gypsyfeed team…
“I’m not a bartender. I’m a server and an artist. I want to be able to communicate an idea to you in the form of a drink; much like a song or a poem. My goal in mixing cocktails is is to make one aware of what’s happening on the palette, and hopefully develop an appreciation of the individual ingredients and how they work together. In this fast paced world of hashtags and Vegas Bombs, I think it’s imperative we slow down and be conscious of the little details. Like salt in a cookie. Reverb on a guitar. Bitters in an Old Fashioned. See what i did there? So let’s continue to learn! Let’s continue to teach each other and make each other smile! Life’s too short for tasteless dishes and bland drinks so let the gypsies feed you. Cheers!”

“Healthy U Express”
Every month a % of each ticket sale will proceed a local non-profit organization. This month we are sending the proceeds towards The University Healthy System’s “Healthy U Express” mobile mammography van.
We believe in building community, not only through reaching out to the local artist/musicians, but to the great city of San Antonio. Let’s stop building barriers and bring people together!
Another reason this cause is near and dear, both Tonya and I are women (DUH!). Starting a business. From the ground up. DIY!! We want more women doing amazing things in this city. The first step, is a healthy & strong woman.

I wanted to talk a little about the art for the above promotional poster for our first ever Gypsy-Feeding on July 20th @ The Richter Co. We were lucky enough to meet a talented burgeoning fashion designer, Ana Sylvia Legarreta. I (Fran) and her decided to collaborate on a piece from Ana’s fashion line. We will be debuting the piece at “Conte de Fees”. We’ve been busy with experimental fabric dyeing, and screen-printing on delicate crepe like materials. The drawing of the woman above is from a small sketch that Ana gave me to rework and this is what I came up with. We thought it would only be fitting to include some of the “Ana-art” in one of our promotional posters. Don’t you love the 1960s art-film-house inspired design? The lines and brush work are expressive, the typography is fractured, and any bourgeois design “rules” have been thrown out the window. How a true Gypsy designs!

Since we started our facebook page, we’ve received an overwhelming response from local artists and musicians who are hungry to help our cause. We decided to make a “mood board” so that we can all work together to create a magical atmosphere. We just want to make every feeding special and want to envelope our guests in culture and ambiance.
